Obituary for Agnes Mae Gillispie Pribble

AGNES MAE GILLISPIE PRIBBLE, age 91, Mt. Olivet, died early Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her residence of natural causes. Born in Scott County, October 21, 1921 to the late Harley and Myrtle Woolums Gillispie, she was a retired Nurses Assistant. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepfather, Carl Roy Stark; a daughter, Thea Dora Power; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Power; former husbands, Marvin D. Hughes and E. LeRoy Power and a half-brother, Samuel Gillispie.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, C. M. "Tom" Pribble; three children, Nathan Thomas Power, Underhill, Vermont, DelRoy (Agnes) Hughes, Georgetown and Joy Ann (Carl) Brill, Germantown, Maryland; an "adopted" daughter, Joan (Jerry) Fooks, Mt. Olivet; three step-children, Nancy Pribble Soucek, John Pribble and Tom Pribble; five grandchildren, Keith (Devon) Hughes, Paris, Tonya (Randy) Simpson, Oxford Village, Katherine (Pat) Thomas, Tampa, Florida, Caroline Thea Breton, San Diego, California and Joan (Paul) Hughes, Winchester, Virginia; and ten great grandchildren, Jacob Hughes, Jeremiah Hughes, Jonathan Thomas, Joseph Hughes, Sarah Hughes, Benjamin Hughes, Micah Hughes, Levi Hughes, SGT. Layden Simpson and Jordan Simpson.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Dee Whitaker with visitation at 12:00 P.M. Burial will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to her requested charities the Kentucky Children's Hospital, Department of Pediatrics, 800 Rose Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40536 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
