Allena Mae Insko, age 83, passed away Tuesday, June 15 at Pioneer Trace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Flemingsburg, KY. She was born in Maysville, KY on May 23, 1938 to the late Elmer and Louise Boner Collins. Besides her parents she is preceded in death her youngest son, Rodney Glenn Insko; by four brothers, Frank Collins, Gene Collins, Raymond Collins and Johnny Collins; two sisters, Shirley Mastin, Gladys Marie White; one grandchild, Trina Gayle Insko. Allena is also preceded in death by the father of her children, Eugene “Ramrod” Insko.
She is survived by three sons, Roy Allen (Martha) Insko, Randy Insko and Ronald Gene (Genie) Insko; one daughter, Rita Insko; one sister, Rosie Collins Smith; four grandchildren, Joshua Bess, Aaron Insko, Taylor Insko and Gena Turner.
Allena and Eugene brought happiness to many foster children without homes. They would bring them into their home to feed them, care for them, teach them how to work a farm and had a comfy pillow for them to lay their head on at night. This also brought them many moments of happiness.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 17 at Robertson County Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
