Obituary for Alma Louise Smith
ALMA LOUISE SMITH, age 93, a resident of Sayre Christian Village Nursing Home in Lexington, formerly of Robertson County, died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the nursing home. Born in Huntington, West Virginia, November 7, 1915, to the late Saint Rutherford and Zea Smith Rutherford, she was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest H. Smith and two brothers, Harry Rutherford and Ralph Rutherford.
She is survived by two sons, Larry (Carole) Smith, Lexington and Ed (Kay) Smith, Franklin, Tennessee; a daughter, Janice (Jerry) Mills, Lexington; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Robertson County Funeral Home with visitation at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
