Amos Sublett Rice, age 94, of Cynthiana, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 5, 1929,in Scott County to the late Amos and Edna Reeves Rice. Amos worked at 3M, was a Navy Veteran and a Kentucky Colonel. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lora Belle Rice; two brothers, Ewell Rice of Lexington, and William Rice of Florida.
He is survived by two sons, Michael (Georgia) Rice of Cynthiana, and Timothy Rice also of Cynthiana; one daughter, Linda (Rick) Rickman of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Mildred Smith of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Anthony (Kyla) Plummer, Jason (Samantha) Rice, Beth (Nick) Gray, Jeremy Rice, Jon Grigson, and Corey (Lauren) Rice; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 15, 2023, at Ware Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery following services.
