Obituary for Anita Faye McCarty (Davis)
Anita Faye Davis McCarty, of Cynthiana, KY, age 71, passed away on January 27, 2024, at Baptist Health in Lexington. She was born in Georgetown on July 29, 1952, to the late James G. and Louise Underwood Davis. Besides her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her son, James Eric Davis; a sister, Charlene Davis Abney; and her ex-husband, Fuzzy McCarty.
Anita is survived by a daughter, Stacey Raye Davis; two sisters, Betty (Gayle E.) Davis Todd, Sandra Davis Kincaid; grandchildren, Sabrina Gail Davis, Madison (Maddy) Raye Davis, Gabriela Torres; and special friend, Jenny Moore. Anita was very active in homemakers and leading classes for the Harrison County 4-H program. She enjoyed crocheting and teaching the youth to crochet. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts and was a hard worker. Anita will be missed by many.
