BARBARA DEAN WARE HIGHFIELD, age 61, Mt. Olivet, died Saturday, January 11, 2014. Born in Robertson County, May 28, 1952, to the late Emmitt and Ethel Fredrick Shepherd, she was a farmer and a dietary aid at Robertson County Healthcare. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Kay Linville.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon Kenneth Highfield ; a daughter, Jackie (Kenneth) Noble, Cynthiana; two step-sons, Vernon Kenneth (Amber) Highfield, Jr., Brooksville and Eric Scott (Becky) Highfield, Germantown; two sisters, Rosie Poe and Lillie Mullikin, both of Mt. Olivet; a brother-in-law and special friend, Bubby Highfield; seven grandchildren, Kenneth Kyle Noble, Kennah Noble, Dalton Highfield, Tori Highfield, Makayla Highfield, Shelby Highfield and Brandy Highfield and two great grandchildren, Jeremy Noble and Kylynn Noble.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Doug Wright. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday. Entombment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1504 College Way, Lexington, Kentucky 40502.

Active pallbearers will be Brian Stroker, Kevin Dotson, Tracey Brumagen, David Noble, Kenny Noble, Stanley Henderson and Doug Schimpler.
