Obituary for Bessie Henderson Anderson

BESSIE HENDERSON ANDERSON, age 92, Mt. Olivet, died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana. Born in Robertson County, September 4, 1922 to the late Odis Henderson and Hallie Mullikin Henderson Smith, she was a homemaker, past Robertson County 4H Leader and member of Kentontown Christian Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Leslie Anderson; a son, Jerry Leslie Anderson; two brothers, Levi Harold Henderson and Kenneth Henderson and three sisters, Dorothy Callen, Jewell Stevenson and Ruby Stevenson.

She is survived by two sons, Freddie Lane (Teresa) Anderson and Eddie Wayne (Lorene) Anderson, both of Mt. Olivet; two daughters, Betty Joyce Anderson Ashcraft and Doris Jean Anderson (Gary Acuff) Cain, both of Mt. Olivet; nine grandchildren, Anita (Steven Howe) Corbin, Kerry Ann Anderson, Michael Lane (Kara) Anderson, Vanessa Lyn Anderson, Eddie Wayne Anderson, Jr., Dustin Moorhead, Sherry Jean (Rickey) Myers, Lon Leslie (Lisa Ramsey) Cain and John Matthew (Valorie) Anderson; ten great grandchildren, Chandler Corbin, William Chance Corbin, Clayton John Anderson, Ashley (Amanda) Myers, Andrew Myers, Arron (Kristen) Myers, Charlonda Cain (Ray) Bryant, Christian Cain, Chase Cain and Olivia Moorhead and five great great- grandchildren, Ashton Scott Myers, Allie Katherine Myers, Gracie Rae Bryant, Raylon Alexie Bryant and Ryleigh Rayne Bryant.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Dee Whitaker and Bro. Tim Keaton. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday. Burial will be in Kentontown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Cain, Harley Flack, Paul Wilson, Robert Fletcher Anderson, Dustin Moorhead and Michael Anderson.
