Betty Ruth Dampier Stanfield, age 86, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Central Baptist Hospital. She was born in Harrison County on February 3, 1935 to the late Charlie Thomas and Nannie Mae Fryman Dampier. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Stanfield; and two brothers, Carlos Dampier, James Dampier; and one sister, Mary Louise Snap.
She is survived by three sons, Harry Earl (Margaret) Stanfield Jr., James Lee (Elaine) Stanfield, Jeffrey Len (Michelle) Stanfield; two brothers, Irvin Dampier, Charles “Buck” Dampier; three sisters, Alma Phyllis Grimes, Ann Francis Green, Brenda Sue Tolson; five grandchildren, Gary Earl Stanfield, James Lee “House” (L.J.) Stanfield, Eric “House” Stanfield, Caitlyn Stanfield, Hannah Stanfield; and two great-grandchildren, Lindy Margaret Stanfield, and Carter Hase Bailey.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 26th at 1:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Grimes officiating the services. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 25th from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
