Obituary for Billy Joe Taylor

Billy Joe Taylor, age 71, Cynthiana, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. Born in Cynthiana, July 9, 1951 to the late Fred and Lourena Casey Taylor, he was a former employee of Bundy Tubing before retiring from the City of Cynthiana Fire Department in 1998 after 21 years of service. Billy Joe was owner and operator of Taylor Plumbing and a past member of the Cynthiana Elk’s Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie L. Penn Taylor, Cynthiana; two stepsons, Anthony Carelli, Washington D.C and Michael Carelli, Chicago, Illinois; three daughters, Emily Taylor Gifford, Cynthiana, Kelley Taylor Angel, Paris, Tennessee and Brandy Taylor, Louisville; two brothers, Larry (Vickie) Taylor and Bobby (Brenda) Taylor, both of Cynthiana; three sisters, Mattie Ammerman, Peggy (David) Cordray and Neva Taylor, all of Cynthiana; five grandchildren, Christine Senters, Nathan Taylor, Taylor Gifford, Billy Joe Taylor and Olivia Taylor; a great granddaughter, Amelia Jane Gifford; many nieces and nephews and a special fur dog, Sadie Mae.
