BRUCE CORNETT, age 93, Paintsville, formerly of Robertson County, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Mountain Manor of Paintsville. Born in Letcher County, January 12, 1919 to the late Silas and Allie Elizabeth Cornett, he was a retired Sears Roebuck employee, a United States World War II Army veteran, a member and deacon of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, and enjoyed writing poetry and helping with Robertson County Senior Citizens Center. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife, Agnes O'Roark Cornett and three sisters, Martha Cornett, Lilly May Palmer and Arkey Howard. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Jonathan Lewis with visitation at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, P.O. box 184, Mt. Olivet, Kentucky 41064.
