Obituary for Bryan Sifford

Lt Col. Bryan J. Sifford, USAF (Ret.), age 92, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Cedar Ridge Health Campus. He was born in Puxico, MO on November 26, 1928 to the late John and Maude Goza Sifford. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, William “Bill” Sifford, John Sifford Jr., Paul Sifford, Dale Sifford; and three sisters, Eileen Langston, Mary Richardson, and Fern Sifford.
He was a Vietnam Veteran serving twenty years in the Air Force. He taught Air Force JROTC at Harrison County High School for twenty-one years, was an elder at the Cynthiana Presbyterian Church, a former board member of Harrison County Memorial Hospital, a member of the Cynthiana Rotary Club, and a life-long member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Lois Cook Sifford; one son, Mark (Mary Ann) Sifford; two daughters, Jackie Sifford (William) Joyner, Wendy Sifford; three sisters, Cordia Travers, Betty Buttry, Martha Ware; one brother, Pete Sifford; five grandchildren, Mark (Jodi) Sifford Jr., Bryan (April) Sifford, Caitlin Sifford, Mattie Joyner, Caroline Joyner; and two great grandchildren, Xavier (Olivia) Carter, Tanner Stroub; one great-great grandchild, Xander Carter.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 19th at 10:00 AM at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18th from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home.
