Obituary for Carolyn June "June" Carter (Smith)
Carolyn “June” Carter, age 80, passed away at her home in Cynthiana on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. She was born in Nicholas County on January 23, 1943, to the late Avery Allen and Edith Louise Smith. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Carter Jr; and three brothers, Earl Smith, Chuck Smith, Butch Smith.
June is survived by three sons, Danny (Marcelle) Carter, Tim (Rose) Carter, Herbert Allen Carter; one daughter, Kim (Curtis) Stewart; a brother, John Smith, a sister, Ann Jolly; eleven grandchildren, Elijah (Anna) Carter, Joshua Carter, Micah (Samantha) Carter, John (Kayla) Carter, Jarrod (Jessica) Carter, Jacklyn Highlander, Trevor Carter, Anthony Carson, Nicholas (Heather) Carson, Christopher (Sara) Carter, Matthew H. Carter; and she leaves behind numerous great grandchildren.
She loved gardening, especially flowers, enjoyed softball, and camping. June was an active member of Central Christian Church, where she helped with bible school and many other activities.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 1:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM, all at Ware Funeral Home. Bro.
