Charles Lee Carroll, age 93, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Harrison County on February 27, 1928 to the late Graves Carroll and Ruby Fields Carroll. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Miner Carroll; one brother; Oliver Carroll; one daughter, Lee Anne Carroll; and one sister, Mary Margaret Downing.
He was a farmers farmer and a tobacco grader for thirty-nine years. He was a member of the 7th Calvary Japanese Imperial Palace Honor Guards Protection Detail just after WWII’s end. He was a Connersville High School graduate, and attended Eastern Kentucky University.
He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Carroll; two sisters, Bettye Marshall, Beverly Miller; a special nephew and ace farm partner, Mark Carroll; numerous nieces and nephews; and a treasured care companion, LouAnn Kelly.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 13th at 1:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will in Battle Grove Cemetery.
