Charles Lewis Simpson, age 74, of Cynthiana, passed away June 1, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Berry on January 18, 1946 to the late Orville Simpson and Anna Stella Cole Simpson.
Charles was a proud United States Marine Veteran where he served in Vietnam. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, camping and riding four wheelers. Charles was a natural mechanic who could fix anything that needed to be fixed. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to many.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Ed Simpson and Donald Gene Simpson; three sister, Louise Richardson, Anna Lee Whalen and Mary Catherine.
Charles is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Judy Frederick Simpson; two daughters, Charlene Serelda Pickens and Crystal Desha Simpson; three brothers, Newton “Sonny” Simpson, Orville Lee Simpson Jr. and James T. “Jimmy” Simpson; three sisters, Cora Mae Florence, Maxie Wyrick and Martha Bilyeu and nine grandchildren, Joshua Adam Pickens, Amy Alyson Pickens, Becca Dawn Pickens, Brian Alex Pickens, Bethany Marie Kedian Pickens, Brandon Dale Pickens, Michael Ray Brandon Bowen, Dalton Christopher Browning and Jerah DeSha Simpson.
