Obituary for Christine Coy (Sadler)

Christine Sadler Coy, of Cynthiana, KY, age 94, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Lexington, KY. She was born on December 21, 1929, to the late John Chester and Ethel Minton Sadler. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Carr Coy; brothers James “Bob” Sadler, Herman Sadler, Gene Sadler, John Sadler, Ernest Sadler; sisters, Ruby Franklin, Birdie Lee Whalen, Louise Wagoner, Stella Mae Whalen, Carrie Hampton; and a grandson, Kevin Douglas McCauley.
She had a love for gardening, you could say she had a green thumb and could bring plants back to life even. She was also a member of the 3M Club, and also enjoyed playing Euchre. She will be missed by so many.
Christine is survived by a son, David (Joann) Coy; four daughters, Faye (Rodger) Stephens, Donna (Terry) Levi, Linda (Buddy) Clinkenbeard, Debbie Rae (Jeff) Beagle; a brother, Billy Ray (Rosemary) Sadler; grandchildren, Michael (Nicole) Coy, Joey (Carrie) Coy, Kristi (Travis) Persinger, Craig (Jacqueline) Levi, Cara Beth (Wes) Reed, Jon (Allyson) Clinkenbeard, Adam (Tori) Clinkenbeard, Aaron (Corey) Clinkenbeard, Katie (Larry Warfield) Clinkenbeard, Jeremy Beagle, Miranda (Brett) Campbell; twenty-four great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 15, 2024, at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be held the evening prior, Thursday, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., also at Ware Funeral Home. Bro. Bill Henry will preside over services, and burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery following services on Friday. Christine’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and her granddaughters will be honorary pallbearers.
