Obituary for Dan P. Hedges
DAN P. HEDGES, 67, of Mt. Olivet, Kentucky, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Dan was retired from Monessen in Paris, Kentucky, but most remember Dan as the owner/operator of the Mt. Olivet Service Center ("the station") and the KY Food Store.
Dan was married to the former Peggy Hale, who survives him. He leaves two daughters, Susan (Alan) Fish of Waverly, OH, and Becky (Marvin) Schalch of Mt. Olivet. Dan had five grandchildren: Jack and Natalie Fish, and Rex, Calvin, and Alex Schalch. He was predeceased by his parents, Melbourne and Imogene, and a brother, Donnie.
A memorial of Dan's life will be held Monday, March 19, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Robertson County Funeral Home, with Bro. Dee Whitaker officiating. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service. There will be no graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, Dan's family has requested memorials be made to the Hope Lodge, 1500 College Way, Lexington, Kentucky 40502. 1-859-260-8300.
