David Lee Callahan, age 63, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Harrison County on November 30, 1957 to the late James William and Iona Rose Callahan.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Billy” William Callahan and Gary Wayne Callahan; one niece, Whitley Adalyn Kay Hively; and one special friend, Dona Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Pulliam Callahan; one daughter, Jessica Nicole Contreras; one son, Nathan Alexander Callahan; three stepsons, Jimmy Lee, David Ray, and Steve Ross Perry; four brothers Robert “Bobby” Ray Callahan, Chester Allen Callahan, Timmy Dale Callahan, and James Thomas Callahan; two sisters, Debbie Kay Callahan and Vivian Rose Northcutt; three grandchildren Kaitlynn Marie, Thalia Michelle, and Rylan Omar Contreras; as well as Dylan “Pickle” (Katie) Callahan, Destanie Callahan, Kayla Callahan, and several other special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, April 22nd at 1:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Brother Benny Northcutt will be officiating the services.
