Obituary for Donald Dean Muntz

Donald Dean “Dizzy” Muntz, Age 85, was born on September 3rd, 1935, and passed away on August 18th, 2021 at Cedar Ridge Health Care Facility in Cynthiana, Kentucky.
Dizzy, a life-long Harrison County farmer, was the son of the late Yancey & Cleo Judy Muntz.
He retired from IBM after 32 years of service and was a member of Cynthiana Baptist Church where he was active with choir. Besides his parents he is proceeded in death by one brother, James L. Muntz; one sister, Judy Muntz Rorer; and one nephew, Rick Marsh.
He is Survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Russell Ramey Muntz; five sons, Gregory (Lucy) Clay Muntz, Anthony Dean Muntz, Mark (Renea) Thomas Muntz, William (Jennifer) Bradley Muntz, all of Cynthiana, and David (Julie) Andrew Muntz of Lexington, KY; Nine grandchildren, Mary (Bill) Beth Daff, Clay (Tara) Muntz, Katie (Bill) Taylor, Brandi (Dan) Gillen, Scott (Abby) Muntz, Kacey (Van) Isaac, Austin (Sarah) Muntz, Blake Muntz, Jake Muntz; fifteen Great-grandchildren, Kyle Hill, Brett Hill, Jima Hill, Elijah Clay Muntz, Ella Kate Muntz, Emery Muntz, Everly Muntz, Allie Brooke Taylor, Mark Sawyer Taylor, Madeline Marcum, Olivia Marcum, Graham Muntz, Mary Palmer Muntz, Miller Isaac, Vincent Isaac; two Great-Great grandchildren, Russell Hill, Ava Clark Hill, one sister; Lou (Jerry) Mary Marsh; two nephews, Lewis ( Cathy) Muntz, Steve (Darla) Muntz; three nieces, Lisa (Eddie) Feeback, Donna (Gary) Linville, Jenny (Robert) Marsh, & many extended family members and close friends.
Dizzy will be remembered for his extraordinary singing voice, his strong work ethic, and his unwavering Christian faith.
Funeral services will be held at Ware Funeral Home on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation on Friday, August 27th, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be at Battle Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Greg Muntz, Tony Muntz, Mark Muntz, Brad Muntz, Drew Muntz, Clay Muntz, Scott Muntz, Jody Beck, Johnny Charles. Honorary pallbearers are Lewis Muntz, Hoppy Meyers, Ron Garrison, John Gatling, Eddie Coppage, Melvin Henson, Roger Purcell, Malcolm Grinstead, Ronald Ecklar, Joe Judy, Lloyd Hughes, and Mike Hays.
