Ms. Doris LaVaughn Brayfield Henson, age 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 21, 2020. Ms. Henson was born on October 3, 1927, daughter of the late William Brayfield and Arlie Reed Brayfield Thompson. She was a homemaker and was an active member of Mt Olivet Baptist Church and attended regularly until her health declined.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 wonderful years, Calvin Case Henson, one brother, Billy Brayfield; grandson, Robert Glen Case, son-in-law, Newton Lee Case, and a niece Diana Brayfield.
She is survived by one daughter, Shauna Case of Mt Olivet; three sons, Nelson (Susan) Henson of McDonough, Georgia; Rodney (Christie) Henson of Alexandria; and Travis (Amy) Henson of Cynthiana; five grandchildren, Garland Case; Randall (Tonya) Case; Ryan (Tia) Henson; Adam (Jana) Henson and Alaina Henson; eleven great grandchildren, Tenley, Avery, Kate and Claire Henson; Carson, Madison, Emily and Aubree Case; Katie Chamberlain, Kara (Dillion) Mitchell, Diamond Dick and three great grandchildren, Damon Cissna, Madelyn and Myra Mitchell and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Brayfield. She also leaves two very close friends Oneida Cooper and Janice Shepherd.
Pallbearers will be Garland Case, Randall Case, Carson Case, Ryan Henson, Adam Henson, and Jeremy McCloud. Honorary pallbearers will be the women in the church.
A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, November 24th at Robertson County Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be Tuesday November 24th at Robertson County Funeral Home from 12 – 2:00 PM.
