Eddie Jacobs, age 79, of Mt. Olivet, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Carter County on April 20, 1940 to the late Cecil Adkins and Flora Burchett Ison.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margret May Jacobs; a daughter, Avis Marie Fite; three brothers, Charles Hanna Jacobs, Gene Jacobs and Joshua “Dick” Ison and three sisters, Maggie Jacobs, Ina “Peewee” Ison and Ruth O’Donnell.
Eddie is survived by a son, Eddie Wayne (Cathy) Jacobs; two daughters, Carrie Highlander and Jessica Jacobs; a sister, Barbara Curtis; six grandchildren, Timmy Jacobs, Katie Rickert, Margret Highlander,Billy Highlander, Brittany Fite and Robert Fite; seven great-grandchildren, Abel Spisak, Lilly Jacobs, Paisley Jacobs, Jasmine Ketterer, Maggie Maynard, Matthew Hickerson and Abby Fite; several nieces and nephews as well as many special friends including, Bobby Fite, Gary Lee, Nita Fullmer, Jessica Barton and all of the crew at Ladobees.
