Obituary for Eddie Wayne Jacobs

Eddie Wayne Jacobs, 53 of Mt. Olivet went to be with our Lord on Monday, July 31, 2023. He was born in Nicholas County on July 31, 1970 to Eddie and Margret Workman Jacobs. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Avis Marie Fite.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Cathy Jacobs; a son, Timmy (Tammy) Jacobs; two daughters, Jessica and Katie Jacobs; and a sister, Carrie Highlander, all of Mt. Olivet. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Bobby Fite of Mt. Olivet, Dale Mitchell of Lewisburg; two sisters-in-law, Teresa (Mitchell) Stamm of Lewisburg, Marsha (Richard) Mitchell of Flemingsburg; and a mother-in-law, Margaret Mitchell of Lewisburg.
Eddie’s grandchildren were the light of his life. He will be dearly missed by Lilly, Paisley, and Rylee Jacobs. As well as Abel Spisak, Marcelina, Teresa, Santiago, and Alexa Tocohua; and four honorary grandchildren, Vic, Ethan, Lisa, and Waylon Schwartz.
A huge chunk of Eddie’s heart belonged to his nieces and nephews. He is survived by Robert (Laura) Fite, Michelle (Jason) Workman, Brittany (Kody) Fite, Margret Highlander, and Billy Highlander.
Eddie left behind many special friends and family, Lisa Highlander, Nita Colemire, Stephanie Holbrook, Ora Schwartz, Esther, Ruth, and John, Mennow (Emma) Schwartz, Vic and Irlene Schwartz, Marlin and Barbara Schwartz, Victor and Elizabeth Schwartz, Liz Schwartz, Ray Bogucki, Robert Spisak, and many, many more.
Eddie was a lifelong farmer, former Robertson County Jailer, and currently worked as a driver for Dutch Builders.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 6th at 2:00 PM at Robertson County Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. Thomas Mitchell will officiate the services. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Robertson County Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
