Obituary

Edith Cooper Ulrich, age 88, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Bracken County Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Neave, KY on November 21, 1931 to the late Ralph Lawton and Julia Marie Welch Cooper. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Marion Ulrich; four brothers, John Cooper, Donnie Cooper, Ronnie Cooper, Kenny Cooper; and a sister, Marcella Dorn.
She is survived by two sons, Lawton (Maria) Ulrich, Gregory (Beth) Ulrich; two daughters, Tracy Steinhauer, Michele Coleman; four brothers, Darrell (Carol) Cooper, Carl Cooper, David (Alta) Cooper, Gary Cooper; four sisters, Mary (Charles) Teegarden, Phyllis (Michael) Martin, Joetta (George Wild) Cooper, Janet (Jerry) Tucker; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, January 29th at 2:00 PM at Fairview Christian Church, 2506 Walcott – Johnsville Rd., Foster, KY 41043, with Evan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29th from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Fairview Christian Church. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery, Asbury Rd., Augusta, KY, 41002. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Macular Degeneration Association, 5969 Cattleridge Blvd, Ste 100 Sarasota, Florida 34232; or to the Fairview Christian Church, 2506 Walcott – Johnsville Rd., Foster, KY 41043. I absolutely adored Ms. Edith and am so glad I really got to know her over the years. She was such a special person, and every time I see a red bird she will be in my thoughts. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family. Love you guys, if you need anything, we’re here for you.
