Obituary for Eleanor Olga Horvath (Prinz)

Eleanor Olga Prinz Horvath, 90, went to our Lord March 5, 2021. She was born in Valley Stream, Long Island on Oct. 2, 1930 to Karen Asp Prinz and Captain Karl Ernest Prinz, a WWII Merchant Marine. Eleanor (Ele) was a loving wife and mother of 4 children. She was a quiet person by nature and a very devout Christian serving as church secretary at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Los Gatos, CA for 24 years. She spent her last 8 years living in Cynthiana, KY and enjoyed the family gatherings. She was a dedicated Dodger baseball fan since her youth and listened to and watched as many games as possible. Her favorite pastimes were reading, cross stitch, and playing Bridge.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles Horvath; a sister, Ann Meierdiercks; and a brother, John Prinz. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Budd; four children, Christine (Greg) Pickles, Kenneth (Gail) Horvath, Katherine (James) Pettey, and Charlene (Tom) Albertson; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
