Obituary for Ermon Cray Fryman

Ermon “Joe” Cray Fryman, age 95 passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana, KY. He was born in Nicholas County, KY on August 1, 1926, to the late Levi Jackson and Thyiena Fryman. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Cray Fryman; three brothers, Virgil Fryman, Homer Fryman, Andy Fryman; and three sisters, Gladys Barbee, Carina Florence, and Martha Whitaker.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Loretta Fite Fryman; one son, Yancy (Lori) Steven Fryman of Ft. Wayne, IN; two daughters, Rhonda (Gayle) Moore of Williamstown, and Vicki (Glen) Whitaker of North Port, FL. Eight grandchildren who will act as pallbearers, Timothy Moore, Aaron Moore, Eric Moore, Matthew Whitaker, Alecia Pace, Bobbie Jo Harrison, Joey Fryman, Lauren Fryman; and twenty-five great grandchildren who will serve as honorary pallbearers, Lexie Moore, Teagan Moore, Christopher Moore, Mark Moore, Jaxon Moore, Brock Moore, Jagger Moore, Everleigh Moore, Josh Day, Lexi Day, Addy Day, Caden Moore, Maleiyah Moore, Lincoln Moore, Ciaran Fryman, Liara Fryman, Nola Dishong, Max Dishong, David Whitaker, Deacon Whitaker, Elijah Harrison, Knox Pace, Rhett Pace, Wyatt Mae Pace, and Beau Pace. He also leaves behind a very special friend, Walden Pridemore.
Ermon was a deacon at Oakwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed his social outings with co-workers and friends. He adored his grand and great grandchildren. Ermon was an avid fisherman, Reds fan, softball player, and loved a good game of euchre.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 14, at 1:00 P.M. at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Battle Grove Cemetery. Matthew Whitaker, grandson of Ermon, will be officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Oakwood Baptist Church.
