Obituary for Genevia Gail Diamond (Layne)
Genevia Gail Layne Diamond, of Cynthiana, KY, age 67, passed away on January 30, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. She was born in Pikeville, KY on April 10, 1956, to the late Jesse and Madeline Preece Layne. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Marty Layne and Keith Layne; and a sister, Brenda Coleman.
Genevia is survived by daughters, Melissa (T.J.) Ward and Stacie (Jeff) Pinson; brothers, Gary (Sue) Layne and James (Joyce) Layne; sisters, Sandy (Bill) Adkins, Paulette Flagg and Fayetta Fletcher; grandchildren, Haley (Andrew) Cordray, Preston (Makayla) Brizendine, Tayton Ward, Oaklynn Ward, MaKenna (Blake) Smith and Riley (Cierra) Pinson; great-grandchildren, Asher Mitchum, Laikyn Cordray, Laiyn Cordray, Alayna Brizendine and Rilynn Rose Pinson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the Christian Faith Center, 2859 KY-36, Cynthiana, KY 41031 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with services beginning at 7:00 P.M. Kim Young Smith will be officiating over services. View and sign the guest book www.warefuneralhome.com.
