Obituary for Gertrude Rose Landry (Rummelhart)
Gertrude Rose Landry, age 95, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 in Huntington, WV. She was born in Riverside, IA on July 11, 1925 to the late Clarence J. and Clara H. Shebanek Rummelhart. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Landry; three brothers, Lester Rummelhart, Elmer Rummelhart, Paul Rummelhart; and one son, Larry Landry.
She is survived by four sons, James W. (Bonnie) Landry of Bedford, IN, John W. (Janet) Landry of Versailles, KY, Randall S. Landry of Flemingsburg, KY, Charles W. Landry of Taylor Mill, KY; one daughter, Denise A. Landry of Proctorville, OH; two brothers, Richard (Lenore) Rummelhart of Des Moines, IA, Hubert Rummelhart of Iowa City, IA; three sisters, Esther (Don) Spevacek of Iowa City, IA, Joanne Horesowsky of Richmond, IA, Elaine Brown of Garland Texas; eleven grandchildren, Regina Coleman, William Landry, Kelly Landry, Mike Landry, Josepf Landry, Mary Landry, Joshua Landry, Sarah Landry, Jacob Landry, Alaina Jo Landry, Anthony Chamblin; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter Lane York, Kiersten Coleman, and Emma Coleman.
A Catholic Mass will be conducted on Saturday, December 12th at 10:00 AM at St. Edward Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Friday, December 11th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home, with Rosary at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery.
