Obituary for Harold A. Woodward

HAROLD A. WOODWARD, age 83, Augusta, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley, Ohio. Born in Mt. Olivet, July 9, 1927, to the late J. Harold and Bernice Ashcraft Woodward, he retired from the Soil Conservation in Lexington, was a member of The Gideons International, a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran and a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Woodward was a member of the Garden Side Baptist Church in Lexington, a licensed realtor and registered land surveyor and worked for the Bracken County Court System. He graduated from Deming High School and attended the University of Kentucky. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Curtis.

He is survive by his wife, Sandra Woodward; two daughters, Terri Moreland and Mary Ellen Woodward, both of Virginia; a sister, Wenonah Linville, Florida; three grandchildren, one great great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Robertson County Funeral Home with visitation at noon. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Hope.
