Helen M. Banfield Garrett, age 93, Cynthiana, died Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. Born in Harrison County on December 28, 1929 to the late Harvey N. and Mary Elizabeth Fowler Banfield, she was a mother, homemaker and a member of the Elmarch Methodist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Alton Garrett and a sister, Rozella Lind.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (David) Paynter; five nieces and nephews, JoLynn Perraut, Robert Busch, Jerrie Rimas, Debbie Schiferli and Gerald Lind, Jr. and several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Ware Funeral Home by Rev. Terry McDuffey with visitation at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hounds Find Homes, 122 East Pike Street, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.
Pallbearers will be Joe Perraut, David Mattox, Haviland Argo, Larry Duncan, Lucas Doyle and Neil Perraut.
