Obituary for Henry Lee Pope
Henry Lee Pope of Cynthiana, KY, age 96, passed away on January 16, 2024. He was born in Harrison County, on August 19, 1927, to the late Turley and Anna Mae Tolle Pope. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Jo Pope; brothers, Bill, Ira T., George, and Edgar; sisters, Joy, Amo, and Mary Sue.
Henry was a member of the Kentucky Colonels and the First Church of God. He also enjoyed gardening and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Louise Dailey Pope; sons, Daryll Pope, Douglas Pope, Dean Pope, and Dennis Pope; sisters, Cordelia Bennett, and Helen Mitchell; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Ware Funeral Home with visitation prior to service from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tim, Keith, Michael, JD, Chase, Lucas, Jordan, and Brandon.
