Obituary for Hilda Lee Burns Graves Insko

HILDA LEE BURNS GRAVES INSKO, age 79, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Robertson County Health Care Facility. Born in Robertson County, November 26, 1932 to the late Stanley and Verna Hatfield Burns, she was a retired receptionist from Harrison Memorial Hospital, former telephone operator in Cynthiana and owner of the Thoroughbred Inn in Mayslick. Mrs. Insko was a faithful member of Mt. Olivet First Christian Church and Kentontown Christian Church where she was a youth leader and Sunday school teacher. She attended the Cincinnati Bible Seminary after graduating from Deming High School in 1951 and sang with the Burns sisters on the radio for many years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Blaine Graves; a daughter, Lora Lynn Graves; two brothers, Charles Carson Burns and Denise Burns; a sister, Francis Graves; a granddaughter, Jacqueline Graves and a step great grandson, Carl Douglas.

She is survived by a husband, Phillip C. Insko; four sons, Michael Wayne (Cara) Graves, Mt. Olivet; Terry Jay Graves, Mt. Olivet; David (Pat) Graves, Maysville and Darrell Todd Graves, Robertson County; a daughter, Miranda (Kyle) Moran, Orangeburg; a stepson, Randall Clay Insko, Georgetown; a sister, Shirley (Harold) Dryden, Carlisle; eight grandchildren, Brandon Michael, Melissa, William "Billy" Edward, Daniel Clay, Jeremy Roberts, Amecia, Shala and Nicole; six step grandchildren, Pamela (Carl), Billy, Rose, Ronald, Gene and Randall Keith; five step great grandchildren, Athena, Andrew, Makala, Jonathan and Elijah; a special niece and friend, Sandy Sweeney and great nieces and nephew, Valerie, Heather, Amber and Steven.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Seth Adamson. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
