Obituary for Howard P. Sosbe Jr.
Howard P. Sosbe Jr. of Connersville, died the 1st day of June 2022, after a long illness. He was born in Harrison County, February 17, 1956, to the late Howard P. Sosbe, Sr. and Frances Wagoner Sosbe.
He was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resource Conservation Service (formerly the Soil Conservation Service). In years past he and his black and white 1967 Chevrolet water truck-on which he put over 650,000 miles-were a familiar sight all around Harrison County. He was an avid collector of Chevrolet trucks and antique Ford tractors and was a born storyteller.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Pamela Jean Sosbe, a son, John Sosbe (Whitney), and one granddaughter, Annaleigh Frances Sosbe, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 4:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro. Glenn Redmon will be officiating. Graveside service will be private at the convenience of the family. Pallbearers will be David Moore II, Reed Buntain, Jarrod Stephens, Milton Hixson, Bobby Neace, and Reynolds Gifford. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Thomas, Woodie Ritchie, Jeffrey Gaunce, Robert Gaunce, Dr. AC Wright, Clay Denniston, Heather Denniston, and Paul Colson.
