Obituary for James Ammerman

James E. Ammerman, age 83, Cynthiana, died Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Harborview Health Systems in Georgetown. Born in Grant County, June 19, 1939, to the late George Givens and Sarah Gillispie Ammerman, he retired from Bundy Tubing after 41 years. James was a member of Leesburg Christian Church, a United States Army veteran, where he served two years in Germany and volunteered 7 years for the Bluegrass Care Navigators. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Givens Ammerman and David Ammerman.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ammerman; one daughter, JoAnn (Chris Wolford) James; two stepsons, Aaron Porter and Jared Porter; one brother, Gerald (Janie) Ammerman; three sisters, Susan (Elaine DeSherlia) Ammerman, Judy (Wayne) Ware and Connie (William) Horn; two grandchildren, Austin Vinegar and Tyrone Vinegar; two sisters-in-law, Mattie Ammerman and Connie Ammerman and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Battle Grove Cemetery Meditation Building by Bro. Clifford Neat with visitation at 10:30 A.M.
