Obituary for James E Burden

JAMES E. BURDEN, age 80, Mt. Olivet, died Monday, June 8, 2015 at his residence. Born in Robertson County, June 23, 1934 to the late Luther and Mary Goldie Fryman Burden, he was a farmer and member of Kentontown Christian Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife, Shelvia Jean Tucker Burden; a sister, Betty Sadler; a brother, Ronnie Burden and a great grandchild, Haley Doolin.

He is survived by three sons, Larry W. (Angela) Burden, Terry Lee (Tina L.) Burden and James Allen (Amanda R. ) Burden, all of Robertson County; two daughters, Debbie (Damon) Earlywine, Cynthiana and Donna (Pat) Guy, Robertson County; two brothers, Bob (Diana) Burden and Donald (Mavis) Burden, both of Robertson County; two sisters, Barbara Jefferson, Germantown and Bonnie (Dick) Thielfoldt, Ranch Cucamonga, California; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and a special friend Alma Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday at Kentontown Christian Church by Bro. Ed Applegate and Bro. Wayne Tolson. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Thursday at Robertson County Funeral Home and noon Friday at the church. Burial will be in Piqua Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, New York 10016.

Active pallbearers will be Johnny Mattox, Pat Foster, John Wagoner, Jimmy Sadler, Richard McConnell and Damon Earlywine. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
