James D. Wagoner, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at UK Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on November 1, 1942, to the late Daniel “DL” Eldrige and Bessie Amo Rose Wagoner. Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by his spouse, Delma Katherine Wagoner; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Wagoner; and a sister, Ann Evans.
He is survived by a daughter, Angela (Pete) Curtis; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Justin) Maybrier, Jessica (Chris Thomas) Curtis, Mason (Shannon Tucker) Cain, Katherine (James) Fletcher; three great-grandchildren, Paul Coy-Maybrier, Ryleigh Maybrier, Dalton Maybrier; and his best buddy, Scooter.
James was a member of the Harrison County Coon Hunters Club, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, sitting with his dog, spending time with his family, playing cards with friends, and he loved mornings.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023, at 1:00P.M. at Ware Funeral Home, and burial will follow at Battle Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 4:00P.M. to 7:00P.M.
