Jeanette Whitaker, age 86, died Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Owenton Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Owenton. Born in Fayette County on July 19, 1936 to the late Truman and Anna Belle Hines Lane, she was a graduate of Fugazzi Business College where she taught business from 1973 until 1975. Jeannette helped her husband run the family farms from 1979 until 1998 and attended University of Kentucky University. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Benjamin Whitaker; a sister, Mary E. Shearer and three brothers, Earl T. Lane, Truman Ray Lane and Charles Russell Lane. She is survived by her son, Stephen David Catron.
