Jeannetta F. "Tootie" Sowder, age 96, passed Monday, July 5, 2021 at Grand Haven Nursing Home. She was born in Harrison County on June 3, 1925 to the late Jefferson Davis and Mauna Ree Sheldon.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Sowder; four brothers, Roscoe Sheldon, Lester Lee Sheldon, Jefferson Davis Sheldon Jr. Glenn Sheldon; four sisters, Mildred Lawrence, Rosalie McNees, Carol Smiley, Flossie Gasser.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Faye Rambacher, Kelly Ray (Robert Baker) Florence; two sons, William Frederick (Judy) Sowder, Michael Davis (Peggy) Sowder; twelve grandchildren, Sheila Wiley, Angie (John) Walters, Tina Wagoner, Stacey (Tim) Mitchell, Kim Sowder, Greg (Diane Rae) Sowder, Brian Sowder, Jeremy (Melissa) Sowder, Kit-Clyde Allen (Clarinda) Rambacher, Travis Rambacher, Sean (Shrika) Florence and Austin Florence and many beloved great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Friday, July 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Ware Funeral Home with a visitation on Thursday, July 8 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pythian Grove Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Sowder, Brian Sowder, Jeremy Sowder, Kit-Clyde Allen Rambacher, Travis Rambacher, Sean Florence, Tristen Mitchell, Brayden Sowder and Austin Florence.
