Obituary for Jimmie Gayle Vaughn

Jimmie “Gayle” Vaughn, age 77, Cynthiana, died Sunday, January 22, 2023 at his residence. Born in Pendleton County on November 11, 1945 to the late Bart and Anna Mae Godman Vaughn, he was owner and operator of Vaughn’s Fencing and a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Berry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Delbert Vaughn, Estill Vaughn and Ronald Vaughn and a sister, Beulah Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Woodruff Vaughn; a son, Jimmie Michael (Donna) Vaughn, two daughters, Michelle (Steve) Chasteen and Hacksaw (Andy) Gaunce; a brother, Russell (Wanda) Vaughn; two sisters, Betty Blakeman and JoAnn (Roy Bickley) Schmitt; five grandchildren, Zack, Andra, Katelyn, Josie Mae and Barton; nine great grandchildren and six special friends, Stevie Cunningham, Michael Fuller, Frankie Moore, Johnny Sorrell and Randall and Barbara Dennis.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Ware Funeral Home by CJ Epperson and Bradley Vaughn with visitation at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Vaughn, Steve Chasteen, Stevie Cunningham, Frankie Moore, Michael Fuller, Zack Gaunce, Barton Chasteen and Bo Welch. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Sorrell, Bradley Vaughn, Kiley Vaughn, Andrew Vaughn, Brian Fryman, Destry Moore, Justin Noble and Vaughn Thomas Mink.
