John Sexton, age 76, of Richmond, KY, passed away on October 9, 2023. He was born in Perry County, KY, on January 15, 1947, to the late Troy and Edna Davis Sexton. He is also preceded in death by a son, John Steven Sexton; two brothers, Arnold Sexton, Donald Ray Sexton; and one sister, Della Stamper.
John is survived by his first ex-wife, Alane Gale Sexton; second ex-wife, Angie Tipton; three sons, Eddie (Lisa) Sexton, Terry (Amanda) Sexton, Steven (Taylor Mae) Sexton; a daughter, Teresa (Tim) Sexton Childers; one brother, Robert Sexton; sisters, Betty Davis, Genople Sexton; grandchildren, Jonathon (Shalah) Lynn, Isaac Sexton, Kayden Sexton, Karsyn Sexton, and one granddaughter on the way.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, also at Ware Funeral Home, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. John’s Pastor, Marshall Abrams, will preside over services. Burial will follow services on Thursday, in Battle Grove Cemetery.
