Obituary for Kenneth C Hughes

KENNETH C. HUGHES, age 69, Mt. Olivet, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville. Born in Mason County to the late Jesse James Hughes and Ruby M. Percell Hughes Stewart, he was farmer, member of the Mt. Olivet First Christian Church of which he was a deacon and chairman for many years and retired employee from General Motors Company. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Ritchie.

He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Louise King Hughes; a son, Jason (Lauren) Hughes, Robertson County; two brothers, Jerry (Helen) Stewart, Milford and Ronald (Bess) Stewart, Mt. Olivet; four sisters, Betty Florer, Lexington, Helen Evans, Carlisle, Mary (Bill) Wheaton, Mt. Olivet and Peggy (Billy) Rose, Mt. Olivet; two grandchildren, Cody Jacob Hughes and Camryn Elizabeth Hughes and two special friends, Phillip Adamson and Rita Doyle.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Seth Adamson. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kentontown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Hope or the Mt. Olivet First Christian Church.
Active pallbearers will be Phillip Adamson, Keith Tuel, Ricky King, Terry King, Gary Sibert and Gene Sibert. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony King, Troy King, Cody Hughes and Camryn Elizabeth Hughes.
