Obituary for Larry Alvin Beckett

Larry A. Beckett, 78, of Piqua, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at his home while surrounded by his family. He was born in Maysville, KY, on April, 26, 1945, to the late Fred and Irene White Beckett. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Mathis and Barbara Snedegar.
Larry is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Dora Martin Beckett; a son, Kevin Scott Beckett; two daughters, Kelly Jo (Danny) Case, Melissa Lynn (Kevin) Dotson; one sister, Phyllis Esz; one brother-in-law, Raymond Snedegar; three grandchildren, Kyle Case, Mary Lauren (Justin) Hendrix, Eli Dotson; three great-grandchildren, Kenton, Kasen and Lauren Kate Hendrix.
Larry was a Deacon at Piqua Christian Church for many years, he owned and operated Martin’s Pay Lake, and worked as a Production Manager at Emerson Electric/Brownings, for 42 years. A loyal UK fan, farmer, former school board member, and devoted husband, dad and papaw… he will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Piqua Christian Church, with a visitation prior, beginning at 9:00 A.M. There will also be a visitation the evening prior at Robertson County Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Brother Tom Mitchell will officiate services, and burial will be in Piqua Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Dr., Maysville, KY 41056; or Piqua Cemetery Fund, c/o Bonnie Moran, 525 Piqua Ln., Mt. Olivet, KY 41064.
Active pallbearers will be, Kevin Dotson, Danny Case, Kyle Case, Justin Hendrix, Eli Dotson, Kenneth Martin and Harley Flack.
