Lena Loretta Mahorney, age 76, of Cynthiana, passed away at her home on Thursday, November 24, 2022. Born in Cynthiana, February 8, 1946, to the late Earl Puckett and Mary Helen Sanders. She was also preceded in death by a son, Rick Lizer; a daughter-n-law, Lisa Lizer; and a brother, James Davis.
Lena is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Mahorney; a son, Sidney Lizer; one daughter, Angela (David) Whitaker; one brother, Richard (Aimee) Davis; four sisters, Georgia (Carroll) Turner, Ruth (Henry) Reynolds, Rebecca Current, Barbara Brierley; one daughter-n-law, Leigh Lizer; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Zac) Morris, Steven (Kenna) Lizer, Lauren (Clay) Stewart, Tatum Bell; Honorary “Grandchildren”, Myles Davis, Mary Kate Davis; and three great grandchildren, Lynnlee Lizer, Jack Morris, Griffin Lizer.
Services will be held at Ware Funeral Home in Cynthiana, KY, Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM, Brother John Patton will lead services. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, also at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will be at Battle Grove Cemetery following services.
