Obituary for Lewis Jackson Mastin

Lewis Jackson (Jack) Mastin, 90 of Cynthiana, died Monday, December 7, 2020 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
He was born May 23, 1930, in Middleton, Ohio, a son of the late Lewis Kidwell Mastin and Ona Mae Ransdell Mastin.
Mr. Mastin was a honorably discharged Navy Veteran and was a member of Cynthiana Elks Lodge #438, a member of Unity of Christian Church, Independent Order of Oddfellows, Paris, KY, a member of The Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, #452 and served as the Director of Division of Plumbing from 1987-1991 under former Governor Wallace G. Wilkinson. Jack farmed for over forty years and was an avid gardener. He loved to fish, hunt, and dance.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sara Bodkin Mastin, two sons, Daniel Ray Mastin, Mark Malloy Mastin; one son-in-law, William R. Withers; and a grandson, William Lewis Withers.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Faye Hope Mastin; four daughters, Candice Lou Withers, Lynn (Mike) Carter, Susan (Roger) Fuller, Lenell (Rick) Mattox Reid Hope; three grandsons, William (Ohnmar) Withers, Bradley Lair (Elizabeth) Ewalt, Zachary Mastin (Leslie) Ewalt; and seven great-grandchildren, Sara, Ethan, Dalton Ewalt, Caroline and Alexander Withers, Beth Hope, and Michelle Mastin.
