Obituary for Loretta M. Bishop (Sims)
Loretta M. Sims Bishop, age 86, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022. She was born in Cynthiana Kentucky on June 27, 1935, to the late French Sims and Kathleen Cole Sims. She is also preceded in death by her late husband, James A. Bishop Sr.; and three brothers-in-law, Bill Kelly, Billy McCracken, and Jimmy Tubbs.
Loretta is survived by two sons, James A. Bishop Jr. and Kenneth (Penny) Shane Bishop; two daughters, Linda Irvin Dunn and Thenea (Tony) Locke; two brothers, Wayne (Wilma Jean) Sims, and Ronnie (Judy) Sims; eight sisters, Sue Kelly, Wilma McCracken, Maxie (Stan) Jenkins, Elaine Tubbs, Ruth Wright, Bonnie (Jerry) Harney, Nancy (Phil) Wagoner, and Judy (Billy) Moore; three grandchildren, Penny Welch, Joy Cervantes, and Nehemiah Dunn; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren Nichole McFarland and John Ezekiale Dunn.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM the same day, all at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pythian Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Sims, Wayne Sims, Billy Kelly, Johnny Welch, Jerry Harney and Johnny Denniston. Honorary pallbearer will be Nehemiah Dunn.
