Obituary for Loretta Ann Staggs (Workman)
Loretta Ann Staggs, age 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 1, 2024. She was born on April 29, 1936, to the late John and Mae Hawkins Workman. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Norman Staggs, who she longed to be reunited with. What a reunion! Loretta was also preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Gary Staggs, William Owen Staggs, Ronnie Clark; and one sister-in-law, Anna Lou Staggs.
Loretta is survived by her three children, Dennis Staggs, David (Peggy) Staggs, Karen (Michael) Graves, all of Mt. Olivet; four grandchildren, Hannah Sweet, Joshua Ross, Ava King, Peyton Moyer; three great-grandchildren, Presley Sweet, Garrett Sweet and Owen Paul Moyer; one sister, Bonnie Clark of Maysville; one brother, Johnny (Patty) Workman of Mt. Olivet; and one brother-in-law, Jimmy (Karen) Staggs. She also leaves behind two special caregivers, Michelle Mitchell and Charity Sparks.
Loretta loved her family, she loved all of the time spent with them. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch visiting with her friends and neighbors. A member of New Corinth Church of Christ, and a lover of red birds and cardinals, she will be fondly remembered. Loretta was a wonderful lady and will be missed by so many.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Robertson County Funeral Home. Visitation will take place the evening prior, on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Bro. Steve Gifford will preside over services, and burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers are as follows: Joshua Ross, David Staggs, Dennis Staggs, Isaac Sweet, Peyton Moyer and Johnny Workman. Jimmy Staggs and Farley Staggs will be Honorary Pallbearers.
