Marteal W. “Marty” Slade, age 74, Cynthiana, died Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born in Harrison County on October 30, 1948 to the late Claude and Margaret Fowler Walker, she was a beautician and member of Journey Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Walker; a sister, Wanda Gayle Orms and nephew, Eddie Bokal.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Slade; a brother, Clarence (Carolyn) Walker; two sisters, Peggy Egnew and Claudine Bokal; three nieces, Dawn Marie Walker, Anna Simone Oudomkhati and Candice Egnew and three nephews, Franklin Bokal, Perry Clay Walker and Matthew Egnew.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday at Ware Funeral Home by Pastor Bobby Duncan with visitation at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. View and sign the guestbook at www.warefuneralhome.com
