Obituary for Mary Lou Hughes-Clark

MARY LOU HUGHES-CLARK, age 65, Sardis, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Meadowview Regional Hospital in Maysville. Born in Mason County, November 5, 1948 to the late William B. and Louise Pumpelly Hughes, she was a sales associate and manager at Walmart, avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, member of the National Rifle Association, and the Sardis United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Hughes; a nephew, Leslie Allen Hughes, and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her husband, Estile Kevin Clark; a daughter, Lyn (Jason) England, Robertson County; step-daughter, Jennifer Clark, Tennessee, a brother, Larry (Sandra) Hughes, Robertson County; three grandchildren, Alexis Michelle England, Avery Elizabeth England, and Tawny Clark; two uncles, J.K. Pumpelly, Maysville and Allan (Virginia) Pumpelly, Dover; sisters in-law, Shirley Hughes, Robertson County, Tracy Clark and Joyce Keller, both of Lewis County; mother in-law, Mary Clark, Lewis County; several cousins, nieces and nephews; several aunts in-law; and special pet cats, Lucky, Lil Bit and Leonard.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Dr. Mike Rice. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday. Burial will be in Spy Run Cemetery in Lewis County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sardis United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
