Obituary for Mary Elizabeth "Granny" Jones

MARY ELIZABETH "GRANNY" JONES of Scottsville, Kentucky, formerly of Carlisle, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 in Lake Wales, Florida.
She was born October 6, 1914 in Robertson County, Kentucky to the late Harry and Audrey (Galbraith) England; and has been a winter resident of Lake Wales for four years. Mary was retired as a quality control inspector for Jockey International and was a member of Mt. Olivet Christian Church. Taking care of her family was her life.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene C. Jones; sons, Eugene E. Jones II and Robert E. Jones; daughter, Phyllis J. Insko; brothers, Carl, Noah, David, Austin and Donald England; sisters, Pauline Carl, Sarah Nell Gerhard, Mildred Kurtz and Betty Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Wells of Scottsville, Kentucky; sister, Doris Woodward of Lexington, Kentucky; son-in-law, Philip Insko; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Isaacs; grandchildren, Tony Wells (Michele), Paula Lyons (Greg), Wayne Insko (Diane), DR Insko (Marlene), Scott Insko (Karen), Brooks Ahrens (Rick), Justin Jones (Gretchen); 14 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and a myriad of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Robertson County Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Sunday. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
