Melvin M. French, age 72, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Huntersville, NC. He was born in Robertson County on January 16, 1949 to the late William Keith and Junita Myers French. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Donald Keith French, four brothers, Donald Keith French, Jerry Wayne French, Ray Eugene French, William Darrell French; and one sister, Emma Pratt.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy E. French; one son, Timothy Todd French; four stepchildren, Dawn (Dee) Minton, Roy (Audra) Jennings, James Jennings, Auri (Scott) Huisman; three sisters, Geneva French, Patty (Rick) Dixon, Dian (Billy) Beckett; two grandchildren, Dustin (Lyndsey) French, Kasey (Jeremy) Hamm; and four great-grandchildren, Coleman Paul French, Emma Grace Hamm, Sadie Elizabeth Hamm, Josie Kate Hamm.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 16th at 3:00 PM at Ware Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Pastor Sammy Harris will officiate the services. Burial will be in Kentontown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a hospice location, or to a charity of your choice.
