Michael Davis Sowder, age 74, passed away Tuesday, September 7th at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was born in Harrison County on December 21, 1946 to the late William “Bill” and Jeannetta “Tootie” Sowder.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Peggy Fryman Sowder; three sons, Greg (Rae Rae) Sowder, Brian Sowder, Jeremy (Melissa) Sowder; one brother, William “Buck” (Judy) Sowder; two sisters, Connie Rambacher and Kelly (Robert Baker) Florence; Nine grandchildren, Josh Sowder, Eric Sowder, Cody Sowder, Emily Gifford, Brandon Gifford, Brittany Sowder, Tiffany Sowder, Sarabeth (DJ) Sowder and Buddy Burns; eleven great grandchildren, Tanner, Layton and Kendallynn Oldham, Kenleigh Gifford, Brooklyn, Matthew, Michael, Alex, Grayson, Tayven, Braylen and a long time fishing buddy, Mike Hill.
