NORA HOOVER HENSON, age 89, Cynthiana, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Grand Haven Nursing Home. Born in Floyd County, October 26, 1922 to the late Levi and Elizabeth Hicks Hoover, she was a homemaker, former employee of Dr. Scholl's Company and a member of the Kentontown Christian Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Henson; three brothers, Herbert Hoover, Levi Hoover, Jr. and Escum Hoover; four sisters, Artie Slone, Mae Pratt, Ethel Hoover and Yvonne Ellis; a son-in-law, Billy Henson and two step-sons, Tom Henson and Jack Henson.

She is survived by three daughters, Lucy Hoskins and Jayne Henson, both of Cynthiana and Zona (Danny Dale) Fryman, Carlisle; a sister, Juanita (Richard) Lawson, Cynthiana; two sisters-in-law, Elemeta Hoover, Mt. Olivet and Ruth Hoover, Cynthiana four grandchildren, Lee (Eugonda) Fryman, Carlisle, Jama (Jay Bennet) Jones, Fleming County and Paul (Margie) Hoskins and Layla (Thomas) Wilson, both of Cynthiana, a special grandson, Rodney “Moe” Jones; five great grandchildren, Marlena Fryman, Mason Fryman, Paul Wendell Hoskins, Cameron Jones and D.J. Wilson; a close family friend, Betty Clark; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and two special friends, Rita and Martha.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 P.M. Friday at Ware Funeral Home by Rev. Bobby Duncan. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kentontown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 U.S. Highway 62 East, Cynthiana, Kentucky 41031.

Active pallbearers will be Lee Fryman, Paul David Hoskins, Mason Fryman, Rodney Jones, Thomas Wilson, Todd Hoover, Escum Hoover, Jr. and Rodney Hoover. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Bennett, Dickie Ellis, Wendell Pratt, Dr. Dwight Lewis, Paul Wendell Hoskins, Cameron Jones and D. J. Wilson.
